Here we are, aboard Pemion, in our 48th year together. Pondering the coming days' adventure, and the 17520 + days past. Thinking of how blessed, lucky, happy, and sad we have been. A very good life! Three wonderful children, who have produced nine "above average" grandchildren and three soon to be "above average" great grand kids.
Here at Knife River marina on the north shore of Lake Superior we have many good friends, great neighbors and just good people in the boating community. We think back to our working days and especially the people, we worked for and with. The people who helped make all of what we are today.
Tomorrow we start the new adventure. Getting away from the busy streets and expressways, and enjoying a slower pace onboard our boat. After planning and dreaming, and a detour because of cancer, we are now looking for warmer water. We will be heading down the western portion of what is called the great circle loop, down Lake Michigan to Chicago and the Illinois waterway to the Mississippi and St. Louis then part of the Ohio down through Kentucky and Tennessee then Alabama on the TenTom waterway.
